How much do you charge?

Do you bring your own tools?

Yes, our assemblers will bring the correct tools for your job.

Do you have a call out charge?

Flat Pack Yorkshire has a minimum assembly charge of £40.

What happens if there are missing or damaged parts?

Flat pack furniture often comprises of several packages so we would ask that you carefully check the delivery note or invoice to ensure that all the components have been delivered and that they are all in good condition. Any evident damage to packaging should be investigated as this may mean that the contents are damaged.

If you do discover that there are components missing or there is damage, please let us know and we will be more than happy to reschedule the appointment to suit your availability. Unfortunately if we cannot complete the job due to damage or parts missing, we will need to charge our minimum fee of £40.

Can you modify furniture to fit the room?

Modifying any flat pack furniture will usually weaken the structure, as well as invalidating any manufacturer’s warranty. For this reason, Flat Pack Yorkshire are unable to modify any furniture.

How much space will you need

We would generally need a clear floor space as big as the item of furniture when it’s laid on it’s back plus a working area all round of approximately 500mm.

Will you clean up after yourself?

Yes. Respecting your home is a fundamental principal of Flat Pack Yorkshire and our assemblers will always leave the work area in a clean and tidy condition.

Do you dispose of waste packaging?

Flat Pack Yorkshire does not have a waste carrier licence and therefore are unable to dispose of waste packaging materials. Any waste packaging will be left stacked neatly together and must be disposed of through your normal household waste streams or local household waste recycling centre.

Are you insured?

Yes, Flat Pack Yorkshire carries £2m of public liability insurance.

How soon can you assemble my furniture?

Dependent on workload, we are usually able to assemble your furniture within a couple of days of the initial enquiry. During periods of high demand this may not always be possible but we will always aim to schedule the job at the earliest possible opportunity. We can sometimes offer same day availability for those jobs that are particularly urgent.

Will I have to stay in all day and wait for you to arrive?

No. We appreciate that everyone has busy lives and, to that end, we will always aim to be as flexible as possible and fit around your schedule, and give you a specified time for our assemblers to arrive. If a situation arises where our assembler is likely to be late or unable to keep an appointment then they will give advance warning to minimise any inconvenience.

What areas do you cover?

Flat Pack Yorkshire covers the whole of the Yorkshire area.

How can I make a payment?

We accept cash, cheque or payment by bank transfer. Unfortunately we currently cannot accept payment by credit card or PayPal. We’ll only ask for payment once you’re fully satisfied with the job.
